CC Ashwell - Awards, Dinner & Quiz. Sat 23 March 2019

edited January 30 in General
Hi all

This year's annual get-together is a bit familiar and different too. We hope you can make some or all of the evening...

Saturday 23 March 2019
CC Ashwell, Awards, Dinner, Quiz

The Orange Tree pub, Baldock

Our annual social gathering is in part an opportunity to hand out the various trophies for the season 2018-19, as well as a being a good social to let CCA members and friends meet up. Husbands, wives, friends, family: all welcome.

This year, we are joining up the Youth and Senior trophy presentations, as well as making the evening a little earlier in the hope that some Youth can join some or all of the evening. It will be nice to connect different parts of the club together and get to know each other more.

6.00pm: Our function room opens.
6.30pm: Awards and trophies
7.00pm: Pie night
8-9pm approx: Quiz

Of course, the pub remains open and the room ours for the rest of the evening.

The food will be quite informal: a choice of pie (quality meat supplied by Chapmans), with lashings of mash, chips, peas and gravy. This makes it a bargain £10 per head.

If you want to come, please put your name and pie choices on this list here. You can pay me on the evening itself. So it couldn't be simpler to say yes. The room comfortably fits 52 people, so it should be fine.

The quiz is silly and just a bit of fun. Cycling knowledge not required!

Pies to choose:
1. Steak + Ale
2. Chicken + Mushroom
3. Quorn
4. Cheese + Onion

Add your name and pie choice(s) here. See you there!

  • Looking forward to seeing you all in the pub for the awards, dinner, quiz or all three on Saturday.

If anyone out there is at a loose end: drop in and say hello.
